Electro-Harmonix decided to take the classic Big Muff Pi circuit and fit it into a smaller and arguably more modern casing. They did this whilst keeping the original sound the same so as to only win new fans and not lose any along the way.
The analogue and true bypass Nano Big Muff Pi gives a classic distortion that is very enjoyable. It is easy to see why it has stood the test of time and proves that a pedal can be a fantastic musical tool even if it is a little rough around the edges, just like a good album. After all, these pedals are designed for making music, not for reading the spec sheets of! The pedal will give the player loads of singing sustain.
