The C5 is popular with good reason; it is an excellent classical guitar, consistently made and with great tone, looks and playability. In fact, it is such a successful model that they offer it in many different versions. Here at Peach we are proud to stock all of the currently available C5 variations. This C7, which we also stock all the variations of, brings all that was good about the C5 and upgrades it.
For a student, a guitar that is hard to play or won't stay in tune can easily put them off for life. Even though this is one of the more entry-level guitars from Cordoba, it still provides access to their expertise in design and build. This results in a guitar that will help a student excel.
The top of the guitar is made from solid cedar and is complimented with rosewood back and sides. This is a classic choice for nylon-strung guitars and with good reason - it sounds great! The top is fan braced; this style of bracing (pioneered on classical guitars by Antonio de Torres Jurado) gives a far superior bass response and dynamics when compared to a ladder-braced classical.
Amazingly for the price point, the guitar is handmade and even the wooden rosette is hand-inlaid. The guitar comes strung with a high quality Savarez set and gold/black tuners complete the elegant look.
The body is protected and looks great thanks to its gloss finish. The nut and saddle are bone and the guitar features a dual action truss rod so that the neck can be regulated as needed or desired.
The big upgrade on this version, the C7-CE is the Fishman Presys Blend preamp and pickup systen. As well as having an under saddle piezo, this system also utilises an internal mic so that the sound can be captured more accurately than the piezo alone could do. In controlled settings the mic can be blended in to warm up the piezo pickup, which by nature of design can never fully capture the guitar. Conversely, the piezo adds the power and volume that the mic wouldn't be able to give. The final upgrade comes in the form a cutaway. This gives both a more modern look and better access to the higher frets.
Given all this, the C7-CE offers fantastic value for money.
