Cordoba Iberia F7 Paco Flamenco | Natural

The Iberia range from Cordoba gives players a chance to get experience the brand's design and build expertise at an affordable price point.  The F7 Paco is a great value model in their flamenco lineup and is perfect for someone looking to get started with the style or an intermediate player.

Flamenco guitars tend to have a lower action than classical guitars.  The reason for this is classical players will want to play various dynamics without getting any fret buzz from the guitar.  Flamenco players on the other hand embrace the buzz as part of the sound and in fact even require it for some techniques.  They are usually built with a spruce top (whereas a classical tends to use spruce or cedar) and cypress back and sides - for bright, snappy attack.  Cordoba also make a range of 'negra' models to compliment the aforementioned 'blanca' models.  These will feature a different wood choice for the back and sides.

The F7 Paco honours its namesake, Paco De Lucia, offering a departure from the blanca style of build.  Inspired by some of his classic guitars, this model features a solid cedar top and rosewood back and sides.  The gives it a bassier and less snappy sound that the standard F7 model, which we also stock.  Although featuring a classical guitar set of woods, it still has the thinner body of a flamenco model and the clear flamenco tap plate to protect the top from any percussive use.  The maple binding combined with the high gloss makes for a great looking model all around.
