Discover the vintage charm of this Collings 001 14-Fret, handcrafted at Collings' Austin, Texas workshop. Part of the Standard Series, this small-bodied guitar features a 14-fret neck joint and a 24 7/8" scale length forshimmery highs, a punchy midrange, a tight and clean low end, and maximum headroom with a quick response. The solid Sitka spruce top, paired with Honduran mahogany back and sides, is finished in a thin nitrocellulose lacquer, enhancing its resonant, "broken-in" feel, while the slotted headstock and tortoise binding add a touch of pre-war elegance. In lovely condition, this guitar shows minimal signs of wear, preserving its pristine appearance and rich tonal character.
The mahogany neck, carved to a Modified V profile, is paired with an ebony fingerboard featuring a 14" to 26" compound radius and a 1 11/16" bone nut, providing a comfortable, vintage-inspired playing experience. The ebony bridge ensures excellent tone transfer and sustain, complemented by nickel Waverly tuners for precise tuning stability. Professionally set up by our expert luthiers at Peach Guitars, it's ready to play straight out of its original hardshell case.
Perfect for players seeking a compact acoustic with a warm, vintage voice, this used Collings 001 14-Fret delivers the renowned quality and tone that Collings is celebrated for. Whether you're fingerpicking in the studio, performing at a small venue, or adding a premium 00 size guitar to your collection, its rich sound and excellent condition make it a standout choice at an incredible value.
