The Bourgeois Professional Series Vintage Dreadnought is a modern classic built for players who want prewar inspiration without sacrificing contemporary playability. Handcrafted in Lewiston, Maine, it pairs a handselected Sitka spruce top with the highest grade East Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering the warmth, clarity and balance that define Bourgeois dreadnoughts. The new satin lacquer finish adds a smooth, brokenin feel while enhancing the guitar's natural openness and vintage character.
A black and white vintage rosette, zipper backstrip and ebony 2 5/16 traditional bridge set the aesthetic tone, complemented by a ziricote head veneer with a mother of pearl logo. The ebony fretboard features abalone slotted squares and diamonds with black binding, while Schaller tuners and ivoroid pins with black dots complete the understated, elegant look. The 12 fret contour Honduran mahogany neck offers exceptional comfort, supported by a dualaction truss rod and Bourgeois' proprietary bolton, detachable neck joint for longterm serviceability and consistent tonal performance.
Designed for working musicians, the Professional Series blends select tonewoods, precisionvoiced bracing and meticulous craftsmanship to create an instrument that feels alive, responsive and reliable on any stage or session.
This model comes equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi system, a highfidelity, noninvasive pickup design that uses dual bridge plate sensors and an alldiscrete endpin preamp. HiFi offers exceptional balance, definition and dynamics with impressive feedback resistance. Soundholemounted volume and tone controls provide intuitive adjustment, while the studioquality preamp is voiced to complement the system's natural, miclike response. Powered by a single 9V battery with over 700 hours of life, HiFi delivers a remarkably organic and expressive amplified tone. Awarded Guitar Player Magazine's Editors' Pick and Guitar Player Magazine's Gear of the Year 2023.
