The Bourgeois Professional Series offers a collection of versatile, professional-grade instruments, built without shortcuts and designed to showcase your talents, emphasising tone, playability, and classic good looks. Within this series, the Country Boy Dreadnought stands out as your ideal "daily driver." It's simple, clean, and incredibly versatile, everything you need, nothing you don't.

With a name suggested by Ricky Skaggs in the late 90s, the Country Boy features a AAAA grade Sitka Spruce top paired with premium Mahogany back and sides. This classic wood combination creates a versatile tonal platform that's agreeable with any playing style, from intricate fingerpicking to robust strumming. It boasts a 25.5" long scale length and a comfortable 1 3/4" nut width with a 2 5/16" bridge width, making it responsive for both delicate and powerful playing. The elegant Ebony fretboard and bridge are complemented by classic Mother of Pearl Vintage Style Dots for the inlays.

Aesthetic touches like the Ziricote head veneer with the Mother of Pearl Bourgeois logo, tortoise body binding, and a thin satin finish on the neck, headstock, and body give it a refined, classic appeal. It comes equipped with reliable Schaller Vintage Bean 18:1 tuners and a traditional ebony bridge with ebony pins.

Over the last eighty years, the Dreadnought has become the world's most popular acoustic guitar thanks to its deep body, large air cavity and long 25.5" scale length, which deliver powerful projection and strong low-end presence. Observing how large guitar tops initially "relax" under string tension - boosting bass and reducing treble before eventually hardening - Dana refined the traditional Dreadnought bracing design in the 1990s by scalloping only the bass side of the X brace and lightening the tone bars to maintain better tonal balance, a design that has since been embraced by players including Bryan Sutton, Josh Williams, Andy Falco, and Courtney Hartman.
