The Alvarez Masterworks MP70e is part of the fully solid wood Masterworks Series, designed to deliver exceptional tonal clarity, resonance, and projection. Built with a solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this guitar provides a well-balanced and articulate tone. Every aspect of its construction - from the precise top thickness and bracing profile to the choice of high-quality tonewoods - is engineered to produce a consistently rich and responsive sound. The MP70e features a traditional parlor body shape, ideal for focused midrange and excellent note separation, making it well-suited for fingerstyle and light strumming.
A key technical feature of the MP70e is Alvarez's FS6 bracing system, a forward-shifted, scalloped X-brace design that increases the vibration potential of the soundboard. This enhances volume, dynamic range, and sensitivity, giving players greater control and expression. The MP70e is also equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi pickup system, which uses dual bridge plate sensors and a studio-quality preamp to deliver a natural and accurate amplified sound. This system offers excellent feedback resistance, clear tonal detail, and simple plug-and-play functionality for live and studio environments.
To ensure long-term stability and optimal performance, the Masterworks Series uses carefully cured woods and incorporates Alvarez's ATR (Advanced Tonal Response) process. This torrefaction treatment removes excess moisture and organic material, giving the MP70e the tonal character of a seasoned instrument from day one while improving note clarity and projection. Additional premium features include an African mahogany neck, East Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and premium open gear tuners for precise tuning stability. Each MP70e comes with a durable AFC30 Flexicase, offering reliable protection for transport and storage, making it a practical and professional-grade instrument for discerning players.
