The classic Rock Slide in the beautiful Nickel Plated Brass finish, which gives the feel of a glass slide whilst providing the weight and sound of a brass slide. Tonally, the sound is darker than chrome plated slides and a tad brighter than plain brass finishes. Another advantage is that it stays slippery for a lot longer than a normal polished brass slide.
The Rock Slide Nickel Plated Brass slides are effectively one solid brass rod that has been carved by a CNC machine to fit your finger. The brass formula that they use is very heavy to give excellent tone and sustain. The walls of the slide are generously thick and get even more so towards the end of the slide, as it tapers on the inside. There is also a tone ring at the fingertip that gives additional mass and helps your finger stay securely in place. This slide really does cut through the mix; combined with its cutaway and design innovations it is also extremely comfortable. A fantastic slide.
