Andy Wood is one of the most exciting players of his generation, having initially turned his hand to the Mandolin as a child, and winning various national and world titles, Wood turned his attention to the guitar at the relatively late age of 18. After winning the Guitar Centre Guitarmaggedon competition just a few years later, people started to take notice of his incredible talent. With sessions with Rascal Flatts, Scott Stapp and Sebastian Bach on his CV, its no surprise that Suhr decided to offer him his own signature model.
The Andy Wood Signature Series Modern T is a really unique modern style T guitar. With a torched Swamp Ash body, finished in Whiskey Barrel, it's beautifully balanced and poised. Before the finish is applied, the body is torched by hand, burning away part of the grain to really highlight the impressive natural patterns through the finish.
The Modern Elliptical neck profile is a great touch on the Roasted Maple neck, smooth and super comfortable underhand, it really does feel great at both ends of the board. With a 16" radius and 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, it has a modern feel and response.
Loaded with a duo of Suhr Woodbuckers, this guitar has a focus on warmth, articulation, and definition. They deliver killer tones whether you're playing jazz or hard rock. With a 5-way pickup selector and a push/pull parallel control for the bridge pickup, you have loads of extra tones in your arsenal.
Complete with a Suhr hardcase, the Andy Wood Signature Series Modern T is a monster guitar for a monster player.
