Stranberg have long been pioneers of ergonomics when it comes to guitars, focusing exclusively on headless models for a light weight playing experience that is greatly favoured by modern technical players. The chambered body Original range were Strandberg's first serialised guitars and the new N2 curved body top adds even more comfort to the Boden body.
The base features of the guitar include a chambered swamp ash body and maple top with a bolt-on, titanium-reinforced roasted maple & walnut neck and roasted birdseye maple fingerboard. A 25.5"-26.25" scale length, 20" fretboard radius, and 24 stainless steel frets with a 1.93" nut width and stainless steel zero fret create an already impressive playing platform but what really sets this guitar apart is the EndurNeck profile. This asymmetrical neck carve is engineered for a more natural hand position, reducing strain and fatigue so you can focus your energy on playing better, for longer.
When it comes to hardware, the Boden Original doesn't pull its punches thanks to the proprietary EGS ARC hardware. The curved baseplate matches the fretboard radius, ensuring consistent string height and improved playing feel across all strings. The hardware layout allows for straightforward setup and maintenance, making string changes and adjustments quick and reliable. This design also contributes to precise intonation and a solid, direct response.
Equipped with custom-developed American-made Strandberg POWR:D by Fishman pickups, this guitar offers selectable voicing to effortlessly cover everything from pristine cleans to saturated high gain tones, with the Dynamic Voice (Voice 1) delivering medium output and an open, responsive balance that slightly favours bass and treble, while the Precision Voice (Voice 2) provides higher output and an elevated high-mid response for a warmer, tighter character.
