Troy Van Leeuwen is a guitar player known for producing some of modern rocks most well-loved riffs in incredible bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Failure, Gone Is Gone and A Perfect Circle and more. His expert input into popular rock over recent decades should not be underestimated and after the success of his signature Fender Jazzmaster, the Paranormal Series from Squier was the perfect place to showcase his new 12-string Telecaster.
Ideal for players looking for something familiar but with a unique twist, the Paranormal Troy Van Leeuwen Telecaster XII brings modern playability to a vintage-inspired design, with the result being a guitar with tremendous harmonic depth and shimmering highs, all while retaining a signature Tele tone we all know and love.
The lightweight Nyatoh body is finished in a classy Copper Age gloss which is complimented with a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard and Indian Laurel fingerboard atop a Maple neck. With a C Shape neck, 1.6875" nut width, 9.5" fretboard radius, 21 narrow tall frets and 25.5" scale length, it retains the vibe of a classic Telecaster but brings an element of ease to the 12-string playing experience.
Featuring a custom Telecaster XII headstock which delivers an iconic look and retains a classic feel, met with a top-load/string-through bridge which brings forth optimum sustain and resonance, as well as providing strong tuning stability, meaning your chords and individual note playing is going to ring out and sparkle superbly.
Loaded with a pair of Fender Designed Alnico single coil pickups, which creates excellent punch and sweet clarity typical of Telecaster's and ideal for the 12-string format.
