The PRS Sonzera 20 is one of the most versatile amplifiers on the market. This 20-watt combo features two independently controlled channels, which give you access to so many tonal possibilities! It delivers 20 watts of power thanks to x2 6L6/5881 Power tubes, and also features x4 12Ax7/ECC83 Preamp Tubes. This 1x12 combo features a Celestion V-Type speaker, which sounds super clear and is a great choice for an amp of this style.
The Clean channel is super inspiring to play through, its inspired by and voiced in a similar fashion to clean amps that were coming out of the USA in the mid 1960s. It gives a super chimey sound with great clarity. It features Bass, Treble, and Volume controls which allow you to dial in a good range of American style clean tones.
The gain channel is very similar to the clean channel from a circuitry point of view. This was a deliberate design choice by PRS, allowing you to use the gain channel as a boosted version, or a continuation of the clean channel. But dont worry, this amp also has plenty of gain on tap as well which really comes alive when you turn the drive control. The gain channel features dedicated Bass, Mid, Treble, Level, and Drive controls. It also has a helpful bright switch, which adds a little top end sparkle to help your tone cut through.
As well as individual controls per channel, the Sonzera 20 combo features a global presence control, and a Reverb control which allows you to dial in built in Spring Reverb. The included 2-button footswitch allows you to change channel, and turn the Reverb on or off.
