Its semi-hollow, all-mahogany body provides natural warmth, depth, and resonance, while the thin satin nitrocellulose finish enhances sustain and allows the instrument to remain lightweight and comfortable. The mahogany set neck with a 25" scale length and Pattern Regular profile ensures a balanced feel that suits a wide range of players, and the 10" radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets offers smooth playability for both rhythm and lead styles.
Equipped with PRS DS-01 and Narrowfield pickups, the Vela covers a broad tonal spectrum. The DS-01 in the treble position produces bright, cutting tones ideal for articulate leads, while the Narrowfield in the bass position delivers clarity with tight low-end response and plenty of bite. A coil-tap option on the tone control expands versatility further, allowing the DS-01 to operate as a single coil for added sparkle and definition.
