The PRS S2 Custom 24-08 is a highly versatile electric guitar designed for players who need a wide range of tones without compromising build quality or playability. Built in Maryland, USA, it features a carved maple top and a mahogany back and neck, offering a balanced tonal foundation with clarity and warmth. The 10" radius rosewood fretboard with signature bird inlays ensures smooth playability across all 24 frets, while the 25" scale length and Pattern Thin neck profile provide a fast and comfortable feel suitable for both rhythm and lead playing.
Equipped with PRS's Patented Gen III Tremolo system, the S2 Custom 24-08 maintains excellent tuning stability and sustain, even during heavy use. This tremolo design enhances tonal integrity and ensures consistent performance, making it reliable for both studio recording and live performance. The inclusion of PRS Phase III Locking Tuners with wing buttons further improves tuning precision and makes string changes quick and secure. These tuners also feature unplated brass shafts and enhance tone transfer for a louder, more resonant sound.
At the heart of the S2 Custom 24-08 are the PRS TCI pickups, offering a wide tonal range from articulate single-coil sounds to powerful humbucking tones. The intuitive control layout includes a 3-way toggle switch and two mini-toggle EQ switches, allowing players to fine-tune their sound with precision. When engaged, the mini-toggles act as high-pass filters, reducing low-end frequencies and providing extra clarity for clean and defined highs. This flexible electronics setup allows musicians to quickly adapt their tone for any style or performance environment.
