This is the latest 2025-spec PRS Modern Eagle V, and it's a serious statement piece. Finished in a high-gloss nitro Faded Whale Blue, the deeply figured carved maple top is nothing short of breathtaking - a swirling, dimensional flame that shifts and glows with every angle. It's the kind of top that makes players fall in love before they even plug in.
But this isn't just about looks. The 2025 Modern Eagle V features PRS's most advanced electronics to date. At the heart of it is a five-coil pickup system: a pair of TCI-tuned humbuckers in the neck and bridge, and a custom NS-01 single coil in the middle. The 5-way blade switch gives you intuitive combinations (treble, treble + middle, middle, middle + bass, bass), while a push/pull tone control activates both humbuckers at once - unlocking full three-pickup operation.
What really sets the 2025 model apart are the dual mini-toggle EQ switches. These aren't coil splits, they're tuned high-pass filters that remove shelved low-end and let the high frequencies breathe. Flip them up and you'll hear the guitar open up with enhanced clarity, sparkle and articulation, especially useful for cutting through a mix or adding definition to complex chords. It's a subtle but powerful tool that makes this Modern Eagle V one of the most versatile guitars PRS has ever built.
The rest of the build is classic PRS: mahogany body and one-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, Pattern profile, Gen III tremolo, and Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons. It ships with PRS Signature 10-46 strings, tuned to standard, and comes housed in a PRS hardshell case.
