Description

PRS are considered by many to be the pinnacle of modern day guitar design, their stunning aesthetics, effortless playability and super versatility making them a firm favourite with players.

This incredible 1990 PRS Bass 4 offers a slightly different take on PRS design. Combining a classic bass look with a highly versatile and responsive pickup selection, the Bass 4 was, for itís time, well ahead of the curve.

With a one piece Mahogany body, this bass benefits from a lush nitro Goldtop finish. Originally gloss Foam Green, this bass has been refinished and definitely delivers a more vintage vibe experience for it. The nitro lacquer has checked over the years offering some really cool patterns and a light relic where the paint has worn.

The Maple neck is in great condition and feels ace. The frets are a little low but this gives it an almost fretless quality, super smooth and easy to play.

The pickups are where this instrument really comes to life. Loaded with 3 single coils, the Bass 4 boasts active circuitry, a hum cancelling coil, deep and clear controls and a pre-amp bypass switch. The 5 way rotary control allows you a whole host of tones, with great tonal variety this bass still punches hard after 30 years!

Complete with hardcase, this bass is something of a rarity and not something that crops up on the used market too frequently. If you are a bass player, its well worth checking out!
