Few artist models arrive with the weight and excitement of the Jackson Pro Series Signature Lee Malia LM 87. This release marks a major moment for both Jackson and the modern metal world. Lee Malia has become one of the most influential guitarists of his generation, shaping the sound of Bring Me The Horizon across their evolution from metalcore to arena scale alternative music. His approach to melody, dynamics and heavy rhythm work has helped define the guitar voice of the last decade. Jackson has been part of his journey for years, appearing on stages and in studios across the world, and seeing both sides come together for a full signature model feels like the natural next step. The LM 87 captures the way Lee writes and performs, and it arrives as one of the most important guitar launches of 2025.

The LM 87 starts with an offset Surfcaster body shape that brings a cool mix of vintage influence and modern identity. Built from okoume, the guitar feels light and lively, with a warm midrange and a responsive low end that suits both tight rhythm work and wider chord voicings. The open pore black finish keeps the wood visible and tactile, giving the guitar a natural look while also helping the body resonate more freely.

A three piece nyatoh neck gives the LM 87 strength and stability, which is ideal for the lower tunings Lee uses across Bring Me The Horizon’s catalogue. Graphite reinforcement adds further rigidity, and the fast D profile makes the guitar feel immediately familiar under the hand. The bound amaranth fingerboard features a 12 to 16 inch compound radius that allows comfortable playing lower down and smooth bending as you move up the neck. It is a neck built for long sets, big riffs and detailed lead lines.

Custom wound Jackson LM 87 pickups sit at the centre of the guitar’s voice. These pickups cover a wide span of tones, from thick and saturated rhythm sounds to clear and articulate lead tones. The bridge humbucker includes a push pull coil tap that brings a brighter and more open single coil style response, which is perfect for parts that need extra clarity or a more percussive attack. This added versatility means the LM 87 fits well beyond heavy styles, and can handle clean arrangements, atmospheric parts and anything that calls for a more expressive dynamic range.

The hardware on the LM 87 is built for stability and confidence, even under the heaviest playing styles. The TOM style bridge with anchored tailpiece and fine tuners keeps everything locked in and responsive, delivering precise intonation and reliable performance in lower tunings. Paired with a set of smooth and accurate Jackson die cast locking tuners, the guitar holds pitch incredibly well, making it easy to move between riffing, wide vibrato and fast melodic lines without worrying about tuning drift. This level of stability is essential for players who demand consistency night after night, whether on stage or in the studio.

The Jackson Lee Malia LM 87 is a signature model that reflects the size of Lee’s influence and the care Jackson has taken in translating his playing style into a production instrument. It feels modern without losing character, and offers a level of versatility that suits the way players are writing today. This is a major release for 2025 and one we are proud to showcase here at Peach Guitars.
