The Builder’s Edition line embodies the principles of innovation and craftsmanship. Each guitar in the Builder’s Edition family represents the peak of Taylor’s design philosophy: comfortable, inviting guitars with rich, robust tone and stunning aesthetics.
The new 814ce is simply incredible, utilising the Grand Auditorium body shape, it boasts an Adirondack Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides for a really unique tonal palette. A guitar of this calibre will of course be equipped with Taylor’s revolutionary V-Class bracing, allowing for perfect pitch and tuning stability across the fretboard, it’s arguably the most important development in acoustic guitar for over 20 years!
The neck is made from Neo-tropical Mahogany, a favourite timber of Taylor’s, and features the iconic Taylor Crelicam Ebony fingerboard. Taylor are at the forefront of sustainable guitar design and only use materials that are eco-friendly and fair-trade.
Pearl element inlays and Ebony fretboard binding offer a premium aesthetic, while the satin neck finish feels great underhand. It’s a guitar that just demands to be played.
The ES-2 pickup system is a performer's dream, offering tonal sculpting like no other. It’s organic, natural and crystal clean, the ultimate stage tool.
The Taylor Builder’s Edition 814ce comes strung with Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze strings and is housed in a Brown Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case. It sounds great right out of the case and is protected at home and on the road!
