A part of Taylor’s Grand Pacific lineup, the 417e-R has been crafted using solid Indian Rosewood back and sides with a solid Sitka Spruce top, it’s a classic pairing and suits the Grand Pacific’s round-shouldered dreadnought design to a tee. It’s vintage inspired but incredibly forward thinking, benefitting from Taylor’s revolutionary V-Class bracing. The V-Class bracing has been designed to tempt more power, projection and sustain out of each note, it’s cutting edge and complements the naturally warm bass and crisp treble of this guitar.
The neck is made from Neo-tropical Mahogany, a favourite timber of Taylor’s, and features the iconic Taylor West African Ebony fingerboard. Taylor are at the forefront of sustainable guitar design and only use materials that are eco-friendly and fair-trade.
Pearl finial inlays and black fretboard binding offer a premium aesthetic, while the satin neck finish feels great underhand. It’s a dreadnought that just demands to be played, it doesn’t feel cumbersome or too bold like some, it’s easy and fits like a glove.
