It’s signature artist models that we’re going to dive into now, with the announcement of new Andy Wood and Mateus Asato models! Long-time Suhr players, these guys are established signature artists who have a myriad of Suhr lines between them already, but these might just be the best yet!
The new Suhr Andy Wood Modern T combines classic design with modern, player focused features to deliver the ultimate stage and studio tool. Finished in an all-new AW Silver, inspired by Andy’s love of vintage vehicles, in particular classic Corvettes, this Swamp Ash bodied guitar is not one you’re gonna want to ignore!
With a Roasted Maple neck, Wilkinson bridge and a pair of Andy Wood Woodbucker pickups, this is a guitar built for the working professional.
Mateus Asato took the internet by storm with his ridiculously fluid playing and mastery of hybrid picking, so much so that it landed him the gig as Jessie J’s guitarist! The new Mateus Asato Classic T is the next phase in the incredible Asato Suhr range and is a bold evolution of his original signature that came out in 2020.
An Alder body with a Roasted Maple neck offers that time-tested tonal dream team, resonant, stable and perfectly balanced, it offers a flawless platform for Mateus’ amazing tone.
Available in two different configurations, this Classic T comes loaded with either Asato’s signature M.A.T. single coils and a Wilkinson 3-saddle bridge, or, the monster pairing of two Lollar gold-foil pickups and a Gotoh 510. Unlike previous Mateus models, this Classic T features a custom neck shape. Guided by Mateus himself, the neck went through multiple refinements and iterations before they found the profile that suited Mateus’ awe-inspiring technique best.
