New Release | Limited Edition Fender Tom DeLonge Stratocaster
Where are youuuuuu? Let’s be honest, we’re all stoked to see that perpetual teenagers Blink-182 have reunited with Tom DeLonge, completing the trifecta of pop-punk royalty. It’s been a longtime coming, and if you’ve caught any of their live footage, they certainly aren’t disappointing!
Back in the ‘Enema of the State’ days Tom was armed with a super simple, streamlined signature Strat, a total punk rock masterpiece. Loaded with a single humbucker, it was the catalyst for some of their most important riffs. But as Blink evolved and Tom’s playing style matured, he found that the semi-hollow growl of a Gibson was best and the Strat took a back seat.
When the comeback tour was announced we all saw the rad pictures of the new Tom DeLonge Starcaster, Master Built in the Fender Custom Shop, it suggested that Fender were once again the guys that would deliver that classic DeLonge sound. And guess what, they are! There’s no sign of the Starcaster as a production model yet, but we do have a BRAND NEW version of the classic Tom DeLonge Stratocaster!
This Limited Edition Strat benefits from an Alder body, typically well balanced and comfortable, as all Strat's are, it’s a real player friendly instrument. It's super resonant and offers punchy mids and robust lows with flawless precision.
The Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. With a modern C shape profile and 21 frets, it offers a really comfortable playing experience; it's equally at home playing big chords or intricate lead work. The slab Rosewood board looks insane and complements the vivid finish options, Black, Graffiti Yellow, Daphne Blue and Sea Foam Green.
The single humbucker is back, and better than ever before! The Seymour Duncan Invader is versatile and benefits from a treble bleed circuit for even greater tonal variety. This will handle everything from ‘Dammit’ right through to ‘Neighbourhoods’ era tracks, it’s an absolute powerhouse.
