The new releases just don’t stop coming! This time we’re taking a look at the new 2022 offerings from one of the true powerhouses of guitar production, the guys and girls over at Fender.
Let’s be honest, we all want to see what Fender are going to be delivering for the coming year don’t we? There’s a reason that after 70+ years they still sit proudly right at the top of the tree, and this year's releases will certainly keep them sitting pretty for a while longer!

First up, a revisiting of an old favourite. The Fender JV Modified Series draws inspiration from those legendary early 1980’s “Japanese Vintage” models that are still so highly revered. Combining the best vintage aesthetics with modifications designed for the modern player, these guitars are sure to be a real fan favourite. Available as both Strats and Teles, they boast medium jumbo frets, soft V neck profiles, Fender Vintage Style pickups (2TSB Strat features a Hot Vintage Humbucker) with push/pull pot and a Deluxe Gig Bag.
2022 marks the 60th Anniversary of arguably the most iconic offset of them all, the Fender Jaguar. Advertised as a “faster, more comfortable guitar” back in ‘62, the Jaguar is famed for its versatility, rad styling and plethora of tonal options. Available in 3 different colours, these Limited Edition models come in either standard Jaguar or Ultra Luxe variations. The Standard features a ‘66 Jaguar neck profile, matching headstock, 60th Anniversary Single Coil pickups and adjustable string mute, it’s a vintage inspired dream machine. Get yours in either Mystic Lake Placid Blue or Mystic Dakota Red and be the coolest cat in town! The Fender 60th Anniversary Ultra Luxe Jaguar is a different beast entirely. With an augmented D profile, 10”-14” compound radius and Custom Double Tap Humbuckers, it’s a Jaguar like you’ve never seen before!
Effects pedals are big business these days, and after taking the market by storm with pedalboard gems such as the MTG and The Pelt, Fender are introducing Hammertone pedals, an accessible entry point line that delivers incredible tone in a compact housing. The four new analogue models include Distortion, Overdrive, Fuzz and Metal, while their digital offerings include Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Space Delay and the first ever Fender Flanger! From a Squier perspective, 2022 marks a notable anniversary in the brand's history. Marking 40 years, Squier brings forward the most stunning and well crafted guitars they have ever built. Split into the Gold Edition and the Vintage Edition, they cover the 5 most iconic Fender models, the Tele, Strat, Jazzmaster, P Bass and Jazz Bass.
