New for 2023 is the Epiphone Chris Stapleton Frontier, a truly magnificent Montana, USA crafted work of art!
So, let’s run you through the details. First up, a thermally-aged Sitka Spruce top, finished in the vintage flavoured Frontier Burst, partners up with AA-grade figured maple back and sides. Visually it’s a stunner, but as a tonal pairing, that’s where it really comes alive! The large Dove style body is renowned for its rich and nuanced tone, a real strummer's dream, it’s an inviting prospect for any player!
We can’t talk about the body without shining the spotlight on those irresistible engraved pickguards. Featuring custom cactus motifs, alongside the classic Frontier lariat, they are intricate and beautifully finished.
The Mahogany neck boasts a lush Indian Rosewood fingerboard with Mother of Pearl slotted rectangle inlays, it’s a classic look and a great touch. The rounded C profile feels great underhand and offers a really natural underhand feel, perfect for cowboy chords but also allowing you to comfortably work your way right the way up the neck.
