With a Mahogany body, the Les Paul features a really nice AAAA Quilt Maple veneer, it’s a real crisp and intricate top and it looks incredible with the Ruby finish. It’s vibrant and fresh, and with Gold hardware to boot, this is one super cool cat!
The neck benefits from a rounded profile, large block inlays and 22 frets; it's everything you’d expect from a Les Paul Custom, substantial but not overwhelming. The Ebony fingerboard looks great, Custom’s need an Ebony board and it’s great to see Epiphone keeping to tradition rather than seeking a cheaper alternative.
Lifeson has such a broad tonal range that he needs a pickup selection that can deliver right across the board. You’ll find a delicious duo of Ceramic Pro (at the neck) and Probucker 3 (at the bridge), but that’s not all, you’ve got 2 push/pull volume pots for coil-split and a push/pull on the tone too, it’s a versatile and powerful combination.
Loaded with a Floyd Rose 1000 locking tremolo you get ultimate tuning stability and intonation, perfect for those rapid licks and trem floats that Alex Lifeson so tastefully delivers!
