Novo have decided to refresh their lineup, introducing refinements and some tasty extras to their already exceptional instruments. The former Select series has evolved into the fresh Nucleus series. This series proudly features the continued presence of the Idris, Serus, Solus, and Voltur models, along with the exciting addition of the Miris model to enrich the lineup. Today, we take great pleasure in introducing the Voltur B6 model, a superb example of Novo's exciting Nucleus range.

This particular Voltur B6 has a rather special story. This awesome instrument was crafted as the original Nucleus Voltur B6 prototype, and was displayed at the 2025 NAMM show in Anaheim, California. As this model is a prototype, it does not feature an official serial number on the guitar. Novo themselves have nicknamed this guitar "Prototype #1". We're excited to offer this super unique instrument to our customers.

The Voltur B6 features a distressed light finish that not only adds a touch of vintage charm but also accentuates the unique contours of the body. Novo has introduced new deluxe contours to the guitar, enhancing both comfort and visual appeal. The body is crafted from tempered pine, a choice that contributes to the instrument's resonance and tonal character. Complementing this, the neck is made of tempered maple, ensuring stability and durability for years of reliable performance.

Equipped with a trio of Novo/Lollar Gold Foil pickups, this guitar is super reactive to picking dynamics and makes for an incredibly versatile set. If you play softly, the fundamental tones are round and full and come to the forefront. Increase your pick attack and you add more high harmonic overtones.

Novo has spared no expense in outfitting the Voltur B6 with top-tier hardware. The Mastery bridge and vibrato, proudly branded with the Novo logo, provide unparalleled stability, sustain, and tuning accuracy. Since its introduction in 2007, the Mastery Offset Bridge and Vibrato have become an industry standard, trusted by touring musicians and luthiers worldwide.

The medium 'C' neck carve and 30" baritone scale length allow for it to be tuned a whole octave down from E standard for a sound that is somewhere between a guitar and bass. The fingerboard, crafted from rosewood, boasts a 9.5"-14" compound radius, contributing to effortless string bending and facilitating a wide range of playing styles.

The guitar comes strung with Stringjoy 26-95 strings, offering a balanced feel and versatile tonal range. The 1.687" nut width provides ample space for expressive playing, whether you're picking intricate melodies or unleashing powerful chords.
