The JP15 Toxic Sludge boasts a stunning combination of tonewoods that make it a true gem in any guitar collection. Its exquisite Bright Green Burst buckeye burl top immediately catches the eye. This captivating aesthetic is complemented by a sleek Black Limba body with a Dark Translucent Green high gloss finish, showcasing the sheer beauty of the wood. The neck of the JP15 is a work of art in itself. Crafted from roasted figured maple and adorned with a smooth ebony fretboard, it provides a comfortable and fast playing experience. The 24 stainless steel frets, adorned with JP Shields inlays, offer superb playability and durability. The neck profile, a super thin/flat shape (measuring .735" at the 1st fret and .805" at the 12th), allows for effortless shredding and intricate chord work. Finished with a gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend, the neck exudes a natural feel and enhances the guitar's overall resonance.
Equipped with top-of-the-line electronics, the JP15 Toxic Sludge delivers a versatile and powerful tone. It features DiMarzio Illuminator pickups in the neck and bridge positions, capable of producing a wide range of tones from warm and rich to searing and aggressive. With a push/push volume knob for a 20+ dB gain boost and a push/push passive tone control for custom pickup configurations, you have complete control over your sound. The 3-way toggle pickup selector and the 3-way toggle piezo/magnetic selector open up a world of sonic possibilities.
To ensure ultimate tuning stability, the JP15 is equipped with a custom John Petrucci Music Man Piezo floating tremolo with a chevron cover and Fishman Powerbridge piezo saddles. Coupled with Schaller M6-IND locking tuners, this guitar stays perfectly in tune, no matter how aggressively you play. The gold hardware adds a touch of elegance to the overall aesthetic.
