The Mayones Ori is a modern, contemporary bass guitar crafted to deliver maximum tone and power. Its name, "Ori," comes from the Japanese word origami, meaning "folded paper," reflecting the concept that precision and simplicity can create something truly extraordinary. With sleek lines and sharp angles, the Ori captures the elegance of origami while pushing the boundaries of modern instrument design.
This bass guitar begins with an Ash body. This tone wood is super resonant and punchy in nature. With a modern bass guitar, it’s all about cutting through in an often complicated mix, and this bass will certainly do it with ease thanks to this tone wood choice. The unique body features some awesome body contours, which makes it looks super sharp and mean!
One of the main neck tone wood choices used in modern bass guitar construction is Wenge, it’s known for it’s strong low-end power and lively midrange, all while maintaining crystal clear highs. Wenge has long been used by Mayones’ as a tone wood, and it was the natural starting point for this bass concept. The Ori features a multiscale 34”-37” fretboard which provides superior tone and tuning possibilities. It has 24 narrow stainless steel frets, 9.5” radius. Another unique feature of this model is the alternate “M” Mayones logo, which gives this bass a modern feel.
Velvetrone GRIM pickups deliver power tones that you’ll just love. These passive humbuckers are powered by neodymium magnets and are crafted by Mayones to deliver rich, versatile tones. With the Mayones Musashi Nitry preamp, you have advanced tonal shaping and an easy way to practice at home thanks to the built in headphone/aux system.
The Kissaki bridge offers great stability and ease of adjustments. Manufactured in house, this bridge is crafted from aluminium and inspired by the elegant tip of a Japanese Katana sword. The 3D brass saddles are fully adjustable in all directions and feature full 180-degree flip capability for enhanced intonation. The Ori bass also features GraphTech Ratio tuners.
