Charvel Sleep Token III Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas V Multi-Scale 5-String Bass - Caramelized Maple - Black

Over the past few years, Sleep Token have grown from a small band with a cult following into one of the biggest and most impactful bands around, headlining arenas and festivals all over the globe. Their music effortlessly blends modern metal with catchy pop elements that keep you hooked, with a huge part of their sound coming from the band's bass player, III. III is known for his incredible stage presence, and for delivering some killer bass lines. III and Charvel have enjoyed a great relationship for many years, so it's great to see them team up to release this exciting signature model.

The III Signature Charvel features a traditional San Dimas body shape, which is extremely comfortable and will instantly feel familiar to anyone who picks it up. The body is crafted from poplar, a tonewood known for its lightweight nature, as well as its punch and resonance. Sleep Token play in some seriously low tunings, so it's essential that III is able to cut through clearly, no matter the song or part. The body features a simple black finish, which contrasts really well against the red pickup covers and gives the guitar a really distinctive look.

The caramelized maple neck is extremely stable and really comfortable to play. This neck has undergone Charvel's roasting process, which removes any remaining moisture from the wood. This premium process helps increase the stability of the neck and its resistance to changes in humidity and temperature, meaning you'll need to make fewer truss rod adjustments.  If you do find yourself needing to make a truss rod adjustment, you can easily do this via the adjustment slot at the bottom of the fretboard. The fingerboard is also crafted from caramelized maple and features a 34.4" to 35.5" scale length, 24 jumbo frets, a 45.72mm nut width, a 12"-16" compound radius, Luminlay side dots, and III's signature "?" inlays on the 12th fret. The fan-fret design helps optimise string tension across all five strings, delivering enhanced intonation and the percussive attack that defines III's playing style.

With a pair of Fishman Fluence soapbar bass pickups, this signature bass nails III's iconic bass tone. Both pickups feature a custom red finish, mirroring the exact same setup found on III's main live bass. The pickups feature three unique voicings, which can be accessed via the 3-way mini toggle switch. The onboard Fishman 2-band EQ gives you great control over the bass and treble frequencies, while the blend knob allows you to seamlessly mix the pickups for a huge range of tonal possibilities.
