To celebrate Mayones 40th Anniversary their skilled luthiers have painstakingly crafted a limited run of unique 40th Anniversary instruments, showcasing their incredible talent and skill. This particular Hydra Elite 7 was one of the flagship models created by Mayones and were incredibly proud to have it here with us at Peach!

With a profiled Khaya Mahogany body, the Hydra Elite 7 benefits from a special contoured heel for easy access up the neck and a back belly cut and forearm contour for the ultimate in modern comfort. One of the crowing jewels of Mayones 40th anniversary celebrations is the incredible Burl Series instruments, each example featuring a stunning 1-piece Master Grade Maple Burl top stained in a transparent Custom Colour gloss! It's beautifully poised, balanced and feels great.

The Wenge/Purpleheart neck boasts a slick 4A Pale Moon Ebony fingerboard, with 24 stainless steel frets and a 25.4" scale length, its comfortable and fast. The 16" radius feels great under hand and offers a platform perfect for both low end riffing and treble side lead work. With a headless design this guitar is compact and a real joy to play

The pickup choice really brings this guitar to life. With a pair of Bare Knuckle TKO humbuckers you get a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. Mayones and Bare knuckle have had an extremely strong relationship for years, so a collaboration between both teams was always inevitable. The TKO set is aggressive through gain but beautifully clean when required, such a versatile set. This custom set of TKO pickups also includes burnt chrome screws, it’s the small details that make all the difference.

With an ABM bridge and tuners this guitar offers flawless tuning stability and intonation. If you are looking for a powerhouse guitar with a real powerful response but still retaining a finesse and intricacy, the Mayones Hydra Elite is a worthy contender.
