The Martin Standard Series is the foundation of the Martin brand, built on nearly two centuries of guitar-making expertise. These instruments are designed to deliver professional-level tone, playability, and reliability, making them a benchmark for acoustic guitar performance. Used across genres including country, folk, bluegrass, and rock, the Standard Series guitars have helped define the sound of modern acoustic music. Every model is crafted using premium tonewoods, precise construction techniques, and careful attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality and a sound that meets the demands of both studio recording and live performance.
The Martin 000-28 is one of the most versatile models in the Standard Series. Its 000-14 fret body shape offers a comfortable feel for extended playing sessions while producing a balanced tonal response across the low, mid, and high frequencies. The solid Sitka spruce top with Standard "X" bracing provides excellent projection and responsiveness, making it equally suitable for fingerstyle, flatpicking, or strumming. The solid East Indian rosewood back and sides contribute warmth, clarity, and sustain, while the shorter 24.9" scale length reduces string tension for smoother playability and easier fretting. Premium components such as a compensated bone saddle, ebony fingerboard, and low-profile neck shape enhance intonation, comfort, and precision.
Visually, the 000-28 maintains Martin's classic look, with a gloss finish, white boltaron binding, and Style 28 rosette. These details not only add to its refined appearance but also reflect the same meticulous craftsmanship that has made Martin an industry leader. Its balanced sound makes it an ideal choice for musicians who need a guitar that performs equally well on stage and in the studio. Whether for intricate solo work, accompaniment, or songwriting, the Martin 000-28 delivers a reliable, professional-grade experience that will meet the needs of discerning players for years to come.
Made in 2012 and mostly in good condition with light scuffs and marks on the pickguard. There scratch/dent in the back of the guitar and some finish damage on the lower bou but it's an absolute bargain at this price. Comes with original hard case
