For playability, the genuine mahogany neck is shaped to an Authentic 1939 profile with a slightly thinner nut width, providing a comfortable grip for a variety of playing styles. The ebony fingerboard, adorned with Golden Era 42-style snowflake inlays, enhances both aesthetics and smooth playability. Each limited-edition 000-42EC 30th Anniversary model includes a paper label hand-signed by Eric Clapton and a certificate of authenticity, making it a valuable collector's piece.
