With only 10 pieces crafted globally for 2023, Peach Guitars proudly presents two of these masterpieces, personally handpicked by our director, John Priest, during his recent visit to the Lowden workshops. In his opinion, these were the most striking pieces from the 2023 Winter Limited Edition.
The back and sides feature a truly mesmerising example of Master Grade Royal Ebony, also known as Pale Moon Ebony. Revered for its rich tonal palette and breathtaking beauty, this wood imparts exceptional clarity and sustain.
The soundboard is adorned with Master Grade Sinker Redwood, a tonewood with a story as intriguing as its sonic characteristics. Recovered from logs that have spent decades submerged in riverbeds, Sinker Redwood offers a unique tonal profile. It combines the brightness of spruce with a hint of cedar-style warmth, resulting in a balanced and versatile sound that is suitable for acoustic guitarists of all genres.
The neck of the F-50 Winter Limited Edition is both stable and beautiful, crafted from a 5-piece combination of Mahogany and Rosewood. The GL standard neck profile ensures a comfortable playing experience, measuring 45mm at the nut and extending to 57mm at the 14th fret. The fingerboard, made of Ebony with Maple bindings and an extended curved end, adds a touch of elegance to the guitar's aesthetic.
As a finishing touch, the Winter Limited Edition features a Soundbox Bevel, a custom option that enhances both comfort and visual appeal. The bevel, crafted from curved ebony, is seamlessly integrated into the binding on the upper bout, providing a comfortable resting place for your arm.
The guitar boasts Gotoh Gold 510 tuners with Ebony buttons, ensuring precise tuning stability. The purflings, made from Mahogany, Maple, and Rocklite, add a distinctive yet complimentary visual flair.
