The Lollar Strat Sixty-Four Special S Flat Set combines two of Lollar's most popular Strat voices into one versatile, expressive trio. The neck and middle pickups come from the Sixty-Four series, inspired by early 60s pre-CBS Stratocasters and known for their prominent midrange, clear top end and distinctive piano-like attack. They deliver classic chime, excellent note separation and a dynamic, touch-sensitive response that feels authentically vintage.
For the bridge position, the set features the higher output Special S, wound to 7.6K for more drive, sustain and compression. It offers a fuller midrange, reduced glassiness and a warmer, more powerful bridge voice than a traditional vintage-style Strat pickup. This makes the set exceptionally well-balanced, with the Sixty-Four clarity in the neck and middle complemented by a thicker, more assertive bridge tone.
Finished in parchment for a clean, classic look, this set covers everything from sparkling cleans to punchy edge-of-breakup tones, offering a refined Strat sound with added versatility and musicality.
