The Lollar Strat Special Blonde Flat Set combines the bright, lively character of the Vintage Blonde pickups in the neck and middle with the fuller, more powerful Special S in the bridge. The Vintage Blonde pickups deliver classic mid 50s Strat chime with medium output, scooped mids and a bright-yet-smooth top end that makes the unmistakable Strat quack easy to achieve. They offer a touch more sparkle, chime and top-end bloom than many vintage-style sets, giving the neck and middle positions a beautifully open and expressive feel.
To balance this, the bridge position features the higher output Special S, wound to 7.6K for more drive, sustain and compression. It provides a warmer, more full-bodied bridge voice than a traditional Strat bridge pickup, with reduced glassiness and a stronger midrange presence. The result is a set that feels vintage in spirit but more versatile in practice, with a smooth transition from the airy Blonde tones to the punchier, more assertive Special S bridge.
