Lollar P-90s have a warm, full tone with the clarity and articulation associated with larger single-coils from the late '50s. Sets give a balanced output between the neck and bridge positions along with an expressive dynamic range.
Choosing the correct size Dogear P-90 pickup for your guitar can be challenging. Once installed, they are not height adjustable so it's important to accurately measure your current pickup/cover and compare it to the measurements in the sizing guide linked above. Pole spacing is measured on-centre, between the two outside poles.
While Lollar's Dogear pickups are a fixed height, the neck angle and bridge height can vary on each guitar. Therefore, we recommend taking a quick measurement - at the pickup positions - from the body to the strings. You will want to have about 1/8" clearance (with strings fretted at the last fret) from the top of the pickup to the strings.
