The Lollar Original 58 Jazzmaster Bridge pickup is voiced directly from the original pickups in Jason Lollar's own pre-production Jazzmaster, giving it a true late 50s character with a more refined and articulate response than many modern stock units. It delivers the unmistakable wide, open Jazzmaster sound, but with a more percussive low end and a clearer, more defined midrange that helps chords stay tight and single notes cut through without harshness.
The bridge position is wound hotter than the neck to ensure proper volume and tonal balance across positions. This extra output gives the bridge pickup a fuller, more confident voice while still retaining the airy, piano-like attack that defines a great Jazzmaster. It remains dynamic, touch-sensitive and expressive whether played clean, pushed into edge-of-breakup or driven harder.
If you want a bridge pickup that captures the authentic 50s Jazzmaster tone but with improved clarity, balance and musicality, the Original 58 Bridge is an exceptional choice.
Average DC resistance: Bridge 8.8K.
