All-Solid USA Made Acoustic - Moon Spruce Top - Koa Back & Sides - Abalone Vine Inlay
This is an amazing and rare special edition Larrivee. It is extremely unique for a 40 series in terms of some serious upgrades. The top is Moon Spruce rather than Sitka. It comes from a very specific alpine region in Austria which has been producing the worlds finest spruce for over 200 years. This specific variety is harvested using a centuries old technique which makes it ideal for musical instrument. It is known as 'Moon Spruce' as this wood is only harvested during a very small window of time each year making these instruments super rare!
As if that wasn't enough, the back and sides have been changed to Koa. This brings in not only a beautiful visual character but a gorgeous tonal property - rich, sweet and resonant. Also the headstock is adorned in a pearl logo with an abalone vine inlay. Larrrivee guitars are always special but you can make yours extra so with this rarity.

This guitar features Larrivee's 'Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid' bracing design. They blended a non-symmetrical scalloped lateral cross-bracing pattern with their tried and true balanced X-Brace system. This means maximum strength using the least amount of material. It's a build that allows even further vibration of the soundboard, while still offering a controlled dynamic bass response.
Like all Larrivee's, this beauty is built in America using all-solid woods and features brand new upgrades like bone nut and saddle, diamond fingerboard dots, and 18:1 open-back tuners. Larrivee's revolutionary new bracing design means a robust and unique tone that is sure to appeal to traditional and long-time Larrivee players alike.
