The Larrivee OM-40 offers incredible build quality and depth of tone for a remarkable price. With Koa back and sides, the OM-40 has a really sweet low end and super projection. Capped with a Moonwood Spruce top, this little beaut delivers a sweet, rich organic tone. The spruce used on these instruments is extremely rare and special. It comes from a very specific alpine region in Austria which has been producing the world’s finest spruce for over 200 years. This specific variety is harvested using a centuries old technique which makes it ideal for musical instrument. It is known as "Moonwood" as this wood is only harvested during a very small window of time each year making these instruments super rare!
The Mahogany neck features an African Ebony fingerboard and a 25.5" scale length, it's super comfortable and beautifully balanced. Complete with hardshell case, these guitars punch well above their price tag, a real alternative to the big boys!
