Founded back in 2009 by long time PRS designer Joe Knaggs, Knaggs Guitars experienced team of world class luthiers craft guitars of the very highest standard. With guys like Steve Stevens and Doug Rappaport on their roster, Knaggs build guitars for some of the finest players around.
Constructed with precision, the Knaggs Severn features a roasted Alder body, stained Cherryburst with a gloss finish and Wenge pickgaurd that boasts beautifully rich grain. The Tier 1 Roasted Figured Maple set-neck, measuring 25.5" in scale length, is complemented by an East Indian Rosewood fingerboard with a 8.5" radius, 22 frets, dot inlays, an ebony headstock veneer, and a Graphite nut.
The Severn boasts a powerful tonal landscape with the Fralin Blues Special neck and middle pickups, bringing high-output Alnico V single-coil design that delivers tight, warm mids, crystal-clear lows, and rounded highs. Complementing these, the Bareknuckle Aftermath bridge pickup features a high-output Ceramic humbucker design, offering a defined pick attack, intensely focused mids, and impressive compressed sustain.
