The KingTone Soloist Deluxe is a powerful, expressive overdrive designed to deliver everything from glassy SRVstyle cleans to thick, sustaining lead tones and fearless, aggressive drive. It is the evolution of the muchloved Soloist circuit, now expanded with deeper toneshaping options, new voicing modes and a wider dynamic range. Whether you run it into a clean amp for articulate, valvelike breakup or push an already cooking amp into rich saturation, the Soloist Deluxe adds character, warmth and musicality to any rig.
The widerange Drive control moves effortlessly from clean, amplike sparkle to heavy, sustaining overdrive, while the highoutput Volume control can push any amp into natural breakup. The Tone control lets you fine tune the overall response, and the Body control introduces the lows, mids and warmth that many overdrives leave behind. Crank it and you get chunky, fat riff tones with real authority.
Three topend modes shape the pedal's personality: Edge, Stock and Glass. These range from warm, classic drive tones to bright, hollow, valvelike bite. The new KingTone setting shifts the overall voicing toward an edgy, vocal top end with a chunky lowend response. The $100,000/Davey setting pushes the pedal into Dumblesque territory, delivering fuzzy, warm, singing lead tones reminiscent of rare, highend boutique amps. The SRV MOD blends a clean signal into the drive for added punch, clarity and woody articulation, while the AmpLike setting delivers the wide, crankedamp feel that lets your guitar's natural tone shine through.
Built with topmounted jacks, a softtouch truebypass footswitch, handwired throughhole components and carefully matched 4558 opamps, the Soloist Deluxe is engineered for a lifetime of use. The laserengraved control panel and premium construction reflect the same attention to detail found in KingTone’s most soughtafter designs. Running at 9-18 volts, it offers increased headroom and dynamic response, making it equally at home on modern pedalboards and vintageinspired rigs.
