James Trussart Steeltop *Used*

James Trussart is one of a small breed of modern luthiers who have totally developed their own unique space in the market. Taking classic shapes, Trussart propels them in to a whole new stratosphere with his signature and highly unconventional steel construction methods. Hand crafted from his Los Angeles workshop, these vintage inspired instruments often feature his rust-o-matic ageing and heavily patinated and engraved steel tops.

The James Trussart Steeltop is one of the most instantly recognisable guitars in the Trussart arsenal. Featuring an antique steel body top plate on a chambered mahogany body - not only do these appointments look artistically beautiful but they are also functional. The headstock also features the ornate steel head cap design which adds weight to the headstock and creates more sustain. The SteelTop tone is unique but feels right at home, capable of classic resonant hollowbody tones as well as thick, heavy riff work.

The '59 Standard mahogany neck with ebony board and abalone dot inlays feels great underhand and offers a great platform for both heavy chord work and slick lead lines. Loaded with handwound Arcane humbuckers, this guitar has a really well balanced tone.

This guitar is pre-owned and in great condition overall, however, it does feature a fair few signs of use such as bit of buckle rash and light surface scuffs. These are only cosmetic and do not affect the playability or structural stability of the guitar at all.
