The Ibanez AZ22S2 is part of the AZ Series Standard line, designed for players who want modern versatility, premium playability and a clean, stage-ready design. Built around the ergonomic AZ body shape, it offers a balanced feel, smooth contours and effortless upper fret access, making it ideal for both technical players and expressive stylists.

The alder body provides a clear, balanced tonal foundation, while the roasted maple neck adds stability, resonance and a smooth, fast feel. The jatoba fingerboard features white dot inlays and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, giving the guitar a slick, durable playing surface with excellent note definition. The AZ neck profile is comfortable without being overly thin, making it suitable for long sessions and a wide range of techniques.

The AZ22S2 features an HSS configuration with Ibanez Classic Custom pickups: single coils in the neck and middle positions and a ceramic humbucker at the bridge. These pickups deliver clarity, punch and dynamic response. The dyna-MIX9 switching system dramatically expands the tonal range, offering nine distinct pickup combinations including split and parallel options. This makes the guitar capable of everything from crisp single-coil tones to full, powerful humbucker drive.

A T106 tremolo bridge provides smooth vibrato action and solid tuning stability, while the chrome hardware and Ibanez locking tuners ensure reliable performance on stage and in the studio. The output jack is durable and adds a clean, modern look.
