The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop Knotty Telecaster Thinline they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
This guitar has some serious mojo! With a Roasted Pine body paired up with a Knotty Pine Top it looks super slick. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since it left the factory and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The Roasted AA Birdseye Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. With 21 Narrow Tall frets, 1.650" Nut Width and a 60 Style Oval "C" neck which measures .820" at the 1st and .890" at the 12th fret, it is supremely comfortable and easy to navigate.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar the Custom Shop Knotty Tele Thinline needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Fender tone. With a pair of Hand Wound Loaded Nocaster pickups, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. These pickups are clinical and offer supreme tonal variety.
