With a sweet Basswood body, you get rich, tight, natural tone. Finished in a super rad Ruby Red, it's vibrant and inspired by the great colour schemes of the '80s, a great choice. The ergonomic body shape feels smooth, well balanced and poised for action.

A 5-piece Super Wizard Maple/Walnut neck has black dot inlays, a bound Granadillo fretboard and 24 jumbo frets. It's designed for speed and precision, perfect for today's metal players.

With a rich history of crushing tones and sweeping solos to live up to, the RG550DX features a duo of Ibanez V7 and V8 humbuckers either side of an S1 singlecoil in the classic HSH configuration; from pure clean tones to roaring distortion this guitar can do it all.
