We're always trying to get our hands on the finest guitars money can buy and that's not just limited to right handed guitars players, it also stretches to our southpaw brethren. We even went to the length of flying to Nashville to handpick the woods for this one! Someone has to do it, right?
Generally we visit the Gibson Custom Shop twice a year and try and get our hands on the finest maple tops that Gibson offer and we've really come up trumps with this little Bourbon Burst number!
For 2016 Gibson have reintroduced the 2013/2014 spec Les Pauls as the "Standard Historic" series. After a brief hiatus in 2015, we're back to long neck tenon, aniline dye etc plus Custom Buckers, 1 piece fingerboard etc.
These guitars sound absolutely superb and they totally encapsualte the vibe and tone of those great late 50's 'bursts.
The Custom Bucker pickups are without doubt the finest PAF era pickup on the market, so with the right amp, you can easily dial in the classic Eric Clapton "Beano" tone, Paul Kossoff, Peter Green, it's all in there!
