The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '60 Stratocaster Journeyman is a fitting addition to this legendary line. We try to keep a great selection of left handed guitars for our southpaw friends, and this is a great option!
A traditional Alder body is finished in a majestic Faded Aged Sonic Blue Journeyman finish. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The quarter sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and a AAA-grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 9.5" radius and 21 frets, the '60 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a '60 Style oval C neck shape. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
Loaded with handwound '60/63 strat pickups, these pickups offer the classic fender sound and a sweet singlecoil tone, losing some of the harsh top end often associated with this era. The tone pot next to the volume controls the neck and middle and the bottom one just does the bridge.
Yet another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
