Here we have an absolutely awesome Strat built by legendary Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilder, John Cruz. The lead time on his guitars is over 2 years, so we were ecstatic when this little beauty arrived!
John just make the most authentic relic Strats and Teles and this one is just a smoking hot guitar, it really reminds me of Gary Moore's old Strat.
Designed to have a real old classic Strat tone with a little extra muscle, as per SRV etc but with enough chime for Knopfler out of phase tones. To nail those sounds we went for a hand wound set of Josefina Fat 60's pickups, which do the job admirably.
The neck is the highly playable 65 C shape profile with medium jumbo frets and for the first time on one of our masterbuilt Strats, we have a nice player friendly compound radius of 9.5" to 12"
