The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Fender Custom Shop '67 Telecaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
With an Alder body, finished in Faded 3-Tone Sunburst, this guitar is super resonant and has a really bold tone. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The rift sawn Maple neck is finished in nitro lacquer for a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 9.5" radius, 21 medium jumbo frets and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play. With a slick AAA Rosewood fingerboard and a 65 Strat C profile, it feels great underhand.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '67 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a HW 67 at the bridge and a Twisted Tele at the neck, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
Yet another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
