The Fender Jazz Bass is one of the most popular bass guitars ever put into production, with its timeless design and incredible versatility; it has been a staple in the roster for over 60 years. The Fender Custom Shop 62 Jazz Bass Relic takes us back to the golden era of bass construction.

The Alder body is typically comfortable thanks to the lush sweeping curves, and with a crisp Aged Lake Placid Blue finish it looks real slick. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. With finish checking, oxidation of hardware, and mild discoloration of parts, this finish is distinctive and authentic.

The quartersawn Maple neck features a 60s U profile and a sweet AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard, designed for precision and comfort; it's equally at home playing big low end root notes or technical work further up the neck.

Loaded with handwound Fender Vintage J Bass rhythm and lead pickup, you get period correct Fender tone, there's no mistaking that signature Fender bass thump.

With a Custom Shop hardcase, this 62 Jazz Bass is road ready and a great piece for both players and collectors.
