As a vital component of the San Francisco Sound, Jack Casady has a pretty enviable back catalogue. A member of Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Famers Jefferson Airplane and founder of Hot Tuna, Casady played with Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix amongst others. Known for his experimental approach and supreme musicality, Casady has spent the best part of 20 years representing Epiphone through his incredible signature bass.
When designing his signature, Casady wanted to balance a great electric tone with the response of an acoustic bass. The result is a Maple body, semi hollow dream machine. With a 34" scale length, 12" fingerboard radius and a sweet Mahogany neck, it's beautifully balanced and richly resonant.
The specially designed JCB-1 Low impedance humbucker gives a broad range of gorgeous bass tones and benefits from a 3 position varitone style switch for even more tonal scope. Select your impedance and alter your sound on the fly, it's the perfect feature for a player as versatile and adaptable as Jack Casady.
Finished in a really classy Sparkling Burgundy, it looks every bit the vintage semi bass. What it is though, is a powerhouse low end monster. Perfect for any live situation, the Epiphone Jack Casady is a real winner!
